5 CATEGORIES: Groceries, Shopping, Entertainment, Traveling and BILLS... Read Ahead!!

Saving is like picking up oranges, you pick one up here and you pick one over there. You don’t pick up 100 all at once!

Over time you got a big bag of oranges to prepare orange juice! I will show you in this post how I Save money on EVERYTHING, from shopping to going out and entertainment so you can do it too and make $10,000!!

I am a big-time saver. It makes me proud and happy. Some people can call me CHEAP or FRUGAL, but I don’t really care what they think.

When I see my bank account, I always see big numbers.

You need to understand that saving money is an art. It is not a ONE-TIME thing, oh I did this and saved 50% of my money!!

It is the tiny details and tiny savings here and there that will make your bag of limes get fuller and fuller.

I will divide the savings into different 5 important categories:

1. Shopping for Food
2. Shopping on Amazon
3. Entertainment
4. Traveling
5. Bills

So, let’s begin!

1. Shopping for Food

When you are going grocery shopping, I recommend you stay away from expensive Organic Food unless your diet is so strict, and you can only eat ORGANIC. Eating an organic apple and a regular orange makes no sense.

If you go 100% full organic, meats and produce you are talking that you will spend at least 50% more on your grocery shopping, for me it’s not worth it.

Never go to the supermarket HUNGRY, and never go without a list. Stay within the list and do not get caught by the delicious stuff at the cash register.
2. Shopping in Amazon

When you want to buy something in Amazon, first of all you need to be a Prime member. I cancelled my Prime membership because it was like $129 a year, and it hurt!! I ordered something worth $10 and got charged $7 for shipping!! Ouch!!

Always look for Certified or Refurbished when buying electronics. It is exactly the same thing, they opened it and changed things around and works as brand new. You will get a good discount.

When buying clothes, never buy outside of the shopping holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Black Friday and Xmas unless it is ABSOLUTELY necessary, and the price difference is not that great.

3. Entertainment

When you go out, be realistic. If you go to an expensive restaurant and expect to spend only $30 bucks, you are out of your mind!

For people that like to drink alcohol, always PRE-GAME in your place before going out. Students do it a lot, but once you are out of school you stop doing it and pay the premium.

Forget about SHOTS. Those are money killers!! At $10 a pop, you can have your regular drinks all night and never be close to what you’ll spend in a round of shots that lasts one minute on the table!

If you are buying someone a drink, make sure it is worthwhile first. Some people will accept your drink and walk away… you are better off spending that money on yourself.

If you are a big movie watcher, get HBO MAX. Those guys have all the movies that come up on the theaters for $15 a month. IF you get AT&T Fiber 1000 Internet service, you get HBO for free.

4. Traveling

Now that things are looking better and we expect normality by June-July timeframe, the airlines are going to increase their prices outrageously!! Same for hotels and cruises.

If you are certain you will travel somewhere in the next 6 months, buy the ticket now!! You can always change the date for free when you are ready to do it.

5. Bills

Every 3-6 months you should call every single service provider and NEGOTIATE a better deal. You name it, Internet, Phone, Electricity, Cable, Subscriptions. Tell them you will change to the competition if they don’t improve your rate. Wanna charge you a fee to cancel?? Tell them you are gonna move to Timbuktu!

Foreigner Insight:

SAVING is not a 100m race, it is a Full 26-mile Marathon. You need to be steady and save here and there, and you will easily get your first $10,000!!! Comment below your particular way of saving so you give me more ideas!
